IBM said the framework integrates best data management practices gleaned from thousands of its retail implementations. Technically, it comprises of products from IBM's Websphere, Tivoli and DB2 information management lines.

This is IBM's second integration framework aimed at the retail sector. It has already released a Store Integration Framework built on the same SOA architecture that connects stores to enterprise IT applications and operations.
