Learning with Multiple Tasks" IWINAC2007 Session. PaperSubmission deadline 15 Fe
Dear colleague,
It is our pleasure to announce the special session "Learning with Multiple Tasks" of the International Work-Conference on the Interplay between Natural and Artificial Computation (IWINAC) will be held in La Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia, Spain June 18-21, 2007.
For more information about the session, please visit: http://gtts.upct.es/events/iwinac2007/mtl/ More details about the conference can be found on the IWINAC 2007 website: http://www.iwinac.uned.es/iwinac2007/

The aim of this session is to provide a platform to discuss ongoing or completed work dealing with Multi-Task Learning (MTL). Both, theoretical papers and papers describing methodology and applications will be welcome. The main topics of this session are the following:
• Mathematical models/frameworks of MTL. • MTL in Machine Learning (Multilayer Perceptrons, Radial Basis Function Networks, Support Vector Machines, Bayesian Networks,...). • Artificial construction of extra tasks. • Measuring relatedness between learning tasks. • Applications (Computer Vision, Statistical Pattern Recognition, Robotic,...). • Related research areas in inductive transfer as learning to learn, life-long learning, knowledge transfer, transfer learning, etc. The deadline for paper submissions is February 15, 2007. All accepted papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.
Authors are willing to participate in the pre-organized session “Learning with Multiple Tasks”, must request from the session organizer the agreement to submit the paper under the session. Please contact by e-mail (Pedro J. García-Laencina, pedroj.garcia@upct.es). For more information of IWINAC2007 pre-organized sessions: http://www.iwinac.uned.es/iwinac2007/pre-organized-sessions.html
